CFMoto ZForce overheating: radiator, fan and coolant bleed

Applies to: CFMoto ZForce 500, 800, 950 and UForce

Symptoms

  • Temperature warning on slow or muddy trails
  • Fan not running when hot
  • Coolant low after a coolant change

Why it happens

A mud-packed radiator, a failed fan relay or fuse, or air left in the system after coolant work stops the engine from shedding heat.

How to fix it

  1. Wash the radiator from the back side out.
  2. Check the fan fuse and relay; power the fan directly to test it.
  3. Fill coolant cold and bleed air per the manual.
  4. Check the coolant temperature sensor if the fan never switches on.
