Telehandler or boom lift hydraulics slow: fluid and filters

Symptoms
- Boom slow to lift or extend
- Worse on cold mornings
- Whining pump
Why it happens
A clogged return or suction filter, low fluid, or the wrong fluid weight for the temperature starves the pump.
How to fix it
- Check hydraulic fluid level with the boom stowed.
- Replace the hydraulic filters.
- Use the fluid grade the manual specifies for your climate.
- Test system pressure at the test port if it's still slow.
