CFMoto 4WD or diff lock won't engage: actuator and switch
Partager
Applies to: CFMoto UForce, ZForce and CForce 4x4
Symptoms
- 4WD light on but front wheels don't drive
- Diff lock indicator flashes
- Works only after rolling the machine
Why it happens
The front diff actuator needs the gears lined up, and water in its connector or a failed switch stops it working.
How to fix it
- Select 4WD and roll forward a few feet.
- Check the fuse and the actuator connector for water and corrosion.
- Test for voltage at the actuator when switching.
- Replace the switch or actuator based on the test.
Tools and parts
- Multimeter
- Dielectric grease
