CFMoto CForce cranks but won't start: tip-over sensor and fuel pump
Partager
Applies to: CFMoto CForce 400, 450, 500, 600, 625 and 1000 (EFI)
Symptoms
- Cranks strongly but never fires
- No fuel pump hum when you turn the key on
- Happened after a rollover or tip
Why it happens
EFI ATVs cut fuel and spark if the tip-over (lean angle) sensor trips, the kill switch is off, or the fuel pump relay or fuse fails. After a tip, the sensor may need the key cycled to reset.
How to fix it
- Check the kill switch is on, then cycle the key off and on.
- Listen for the fuel pump to prime for a few seconds at key-on.
- Check the EFI and fuel pump fuses and relay.
- Test the tip-over sensor connector and mounting per the manual.
- Check for fault codes on the display.
Tools and parts
