Partager
Applies to: Arctic Cat 90, Alterra 90, DVX 90 and other youth ATVs
Symptoms
- Won't start after sitting
- Starts but only crawls
- Dies when warm
Why it happens
Youth ATVs have a tiny carb that clogs fast with stale fuel, a tether or kill switch that's easy to leave off, and a throttle limiter screw that caps speed.
How to fix it
- Check the tether and kill switch are set to run.
- Drain old fuel and clean the carb's pilot jet.
- Clean or replace the spark plug and air filter.
- Check the throttle limiter screw setting in the manual before adjusting.
